Digital Citizenship






Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship is defined as engaging in appropriate and responsible behavior when using technology. 
Digital Citizenship is comprised of nine elements. These elements are digital access, digital commerce, digital communication and collaboration, digital etiquette, digital fluency, digital health and welfare, digital law, digital rights and responsibility, and digital security and privacy.





1. Digital Access: The equitable distribution of technology and online resources to the users is called digital access. The technology users need to be aware of their community and who may or may not have access to technology and online resources.
   

 


2. Digital Commerce: The electronic buying and selling of goods. It makes easier for both buyer and seller as it safeguards in place to assist in buying selling and banking etc. For example, the goods we ordered online makes the work easier due to the knowledge of digital commerce. 

3. Digital Communication and Collaboration: The electronic exchange of information is called digital Communication and Collaboration. It helps users to share their right information and take in the right information from the online resources. Technology help struggling users to understand their place in the world, find their own voice and express themselves. 


 

4. Digital Etiquette: An electronic standards of conduct or procedure. The standards of conduct expected by other digital users, learning the rules before using it.
communicating without knowing the rules or even checking them.





5. Digital Fluency: The process of understanding technology and its application is called digital fluency. The better educated or"digitally fluent" users are, the more likely they are to make good decisions online. For example, supporting others instead of mocking with negative comments.






6. Digital Health and welfare: The physical and psychological well-being in the digital world is called digital health and welfare. technology opens the door to many opportunities and enjoyment but in the at the same time the user needs to know how to filtrate use with the needs of ourselves and others is key to a healthy, balanced life.

7. Digital Law: The electronic responsibility for the actions and deeds. Moreover, it has to do with the creation of rules and policies that address issues related to the online world. The legal rights and restrictions governing technology use. The users understand what can be downloaded for free and what is copyrighted and what should be paid for.





8. Digital Rights and Responsibility: The privileges and freedoms extended to all digital technology users. It helps users understand that access to the internet and the use of online products has potential problems associated.




 



9. Digital Security and Privacy: An electronic precautions to guarantee safety. Viruses, worms and other bots can be passed along from one system to another system. the users should be aware of attacks and how to prevent them are important skills for today and into the future.
